April Full Moon – Pink Moon
Peak Illumination: Tuesday, April 23, at 7:49 P.M. EST
The full moon during April is commonly called the Pink Moon although you won’t be seeing it turning pink! It is named after the wild ground phlox, a pink flower that typically blooms this time of the year (pictured). The April Full Moon has also been called the “Sprouting Grass Moon”, “Fish Moon” and the “Egg Moon”, representing the emerging spring grasses, the opening of the fishing season, and the time when birds begin to lay eggs.
The Pink Moon, similar to the Worm Moon last month, is extremely energetically powerful. The pink hue (actually more rosy) symbolizes love, compassion, and emotional healing in addition to the renewal and rebirth that springtime full moons all represent.
As the Worm Moon provides us the opportunity to manifest our goals and dreams the Pink Moon encourages us to “blossom” by putting ourselves into action, and living our lives authentically. For me, my goal is to finish a writing project I have been working on for quite a while.
During the Pink Moon cycle, it is a wonderful time to reconnect with Nature. It is recommended to take walks, preferably barefoot, to connect with the Earth and the Universe. Psychics need to meditate and perform energetic cleanings during this time. And don’t forget to use the Pink Moon energy to charge any crystals!
Full Moons can be a blessing and a curse to those with psychic abilities. During the days leading up to and after the event, we become extremely sensitive to universal energies. Psychics will experience a heightened connection to Spirit and their intuition. Psychics performing readings will find it easier to connect with clients.
